Wk 2 Blog Reflection
In reflection on week two, I’ve found that action research when done in a practical manner or used after someone that has shown it to be successful, is very effective to creating not only better teachers, but an environment that optimizes learning. Teachers can find out alot about themselves as well as uncovering ways that their classes learn most effectively. Through the administrative interviews involved in week two one can assume to be effective with this type of research you have to use what best fits your specific circumstance and use those people who have had success with prior teachings and techniques.

Action Research and Blogs
As a kid learning through trial and error in my early years of life, I didn’t realize I would later stumble along research similar to my findings as a boy that adults put into practice that make them better and more insightful in their jobs. As a youngster I had no idea I was already practicing action research and creating more effective ways for me get through the day without doing much harm to myself or my toys. According to Fichman (2009), "action research refers to the process of a principal engaging in systematic, intentional study of his/her own administrative practice and taking action for change based on what he/she learns as a result of the inquiry" (pg. 2). Basically it’s taking a good look at what you’re doing and making changes that will better the situation. One gets to actively research themselves and make changes instead of gaining research from others on past trials and situations of others.
Action research could be used in almost anything that we do as an administrator. Every task or decision made could be self-critiqued in order to find what the very best practice is for the job at hand. Whether it's formulating a plan for tardies and ways to cut down those percentages or best ways to handle special education kids within the mainstream classes they're will be ways to actively research your decisions to see if these were the most effective ways to handle these situations.
The Blog can be a great resource for collaborators in any realm or type of business to share problems, concerns, and fixes to almost type of issue possible. It allows for people to not only share their ideas amongst one another, but allows one to get input from people all across the world whom may have a totally different thought or feeling to approaching the issue.
